Prom Season is here!

To be sure, the Prom season is upon us.  Beware of Gypsy operators waiting to pray on the innocent.  While researching your choice of limousine companies that will be transporting your valuable cargo, please check for the legality of the company.
You might try asking the following questions:
What is your PSC # ? (Registered with MD Public Service Commission)   (Public Service has a website that you can check on each company) How much insurance do you carry? (should be at least $300,000) Are your Chauffeurs Public Service certified? (carries a PSC license)  Do you follow the guidelines of the rules of the Prom Promise?

If the company that you have contacted on the phone has answered "no" to any of the above questions, you can be sure that they are not operating a legal business.  Continue to search for the company that can comply with all of your questions.

It is always a good idea to ask to view the vehicle prior to placing your deposit.  Some companies advertise vehicles on their websites that they do not physically own.  Therefore, relying on an outside company to have that vehicle available for your reservation.  Over-bookings and Cancellations from the limousine companies that conduct their business in this manner is not uncommon.  More often than not, you are left with no vehicle for your Prom.

Do your research; don't be afraid to ask questions; and make smart choices before giving out your credit card information.  Here is hoping that all will experience a safe and happy Prom evening.
